Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik, who recently joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), was appointed as Executive Chairman of the Odisha Youth Welfare Board on Tuesday.
The former Mumbai top cop’s appointment was approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik .
Arup Patnaik, who joined the BJD on April 18, would look after the Biju Yuva Bahini programme, which was launched with an aim to nurture leadership and volunteerism, promote the culture of sports and sportsmanship and healthy living among youths of the State.
