The internationally acclaimed weightlifter, Arjun awardee and Olympic winner K Ravi Kumar was given a rousing welcome by Kalinga Ashram situated in the tribal dominated region of Kankia. A meeting organised by the Ashram was presided over by Yoga Guru Srijukta Tripati Balaji. Managing director of the Millennium Sanjay Majhi joined the felicitation ceremony as chief guest, while Chandra Sekhar Das joined as chief speaker, respectively.
While speaking on the occasion, Ravi Kumar expressed his gratitude to the organisers for the mega honour given to him and their love for games and sports. Among others, well-known weightlifter and coach Ramesh Padhi, Bipra Maharana, Basudev Rao and Tara Pattnaik werepresent. Ashram chief Ramesh Panda coordinated.
