App by VSSUT student to rein in corrupt TTEs

An engineering student of VSSUT at Burla has successfully invented an App for use in railway that can check the ongoing corruption in trains and also in the catering services.

“Once I was travelling from Chennai to Bhubaneswar in a train. There was some mistake in my ticket. The TTE on duty charged me Rs 1,200 fine although it was to be Rs 700 only as per actual. There was arguments but to no effect and finally I had to pay the excess fine.

That prompted me to invent something to put an end to such practices and exploitation to the innocent travelers,” said Bodhisatwa Sanghapriya, student of VSSUT who invented the App to save other passengers travelling when they meet an emergency but don’t get reservation in trains.

“After three months tiresome efforts, I develop this new App,” he said.

“The new App which I have named as ‘Rail Sudhar’ can check such corrupt practices of the TTE which is a regular activity in trains,” he said further.

“This particular App is designed in such a manner that it can successfully curb any corruption in ticket booking, collection of fine en route, and any anomaly in food supplied by the catering service,” informed Bodhisatwa.

He further informed that he had been invited by Marketfest Ahmadabad and Marketmela Mumbai to exhibit this App there and make aware the people as to its use.

“I have also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make compulsory the use of this particular App for the benefit of both passengers and railway,” he informed.
