With rising demand for herbal products, Apollo Herbals Private limited, a Chennai based herbal healthcare products firm, will set up a Rs 300 crore manufacturing unit in Odisha.
The plant which will be a fully automated unit will be set up within a 40 km radius of Bhubaneswar. This automated plant will manufacture the first of its kind herbal products which are cow urine and Ayurvedic based with 0 per cent chemicals and 100 per cent natural herbs. The company which has its presence in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Sri lanka and Malaysia is estimating a turnover of Rs 100 crore in Odisha in the first year. Dr Magheswara Rao, said, “After 12 years of rigorous research we have created medicinal combinations for cancer, obesity, diabetes and hyper tension. We have also done tie-ups with many Goshalas for their self sustenance and the plant will also generate employment opportunities at various levels for many people.”
