Bhubaneswar BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi on Saturday released her third annual report card on her performance in the constituency highlighting achievements and progress of different projects. The report included development works, grievance redressal, community outreach and future course of action.

Sarangi also spoke about her raising issues pertaining to Bhubaneswar and beyond in the Lok Sabha, active participation in the Parliamentary Standing Committees and discharging duties as national spokesperson of the BJP.

She said that during the third year as MP, she has taken up 43 NH projects estimated at Rs 6,473.62 crore including the ambitious Capital Region Ring Road of 111 km.

Out of the MPLAD projects, 1,000 solar lights have been installed. Of the 1,143 sanctioned projects under MPLAD so far, 1,036 are completed and 107 ongoing.

Effort has been to see that all who are eligible would get a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) house. As many as 3,909 houses have been sanctioned and 3,574 completed.

Sarngi also said nine mega piped water supply projects worth Rs 1,380.25 crore are currently at various stages of progress under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

She said she is pursuing different projects with various Union Ministries which include up-gradation of Bolagarh passenger halt and Lingaraj passenger halt, modernisation of Bhubaneswar railway station, renovation in Chilika lake with an allocation of Rs 20.79 crore to benefit 25,000 fishermen, construction of a 150-bed ESIC Medical College Hospital at Andharua near Bhubaneswar, inclusion of Durua, Kandha Kumbhara and  Sahara tribes in ST list, rejuvenation of Prachi river and proposals for direct flights from Bhubaneswar to Jammu and from Bhubaneswar to Shiridi.

However, in his reaction, Bhubaneswar Central BJD MLA Ananta Narayan Jena said all that Sarangi claimed is humbug as she has achieved nothing tangible at least in his Assembly constituency.

Jatni Congress MLA Suresh Routry remarked that Sarangi claimed much more than she has done.
