Aditya Prasad Padhi, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to Chief Minister will hold the crucial post of Development Commissioner (DC) in addition to his present posting.
A 1983-batch IAS officer, Padhi is the ACS to CM since 2010, will head the Department of Planning & Coordination, which is all set to finalise the new Five-Year Plan.An officer of the Chief Secretary rank, Padhi will be supervising several developmental departments as DC and will be guiding the top bureaucrats engaged in developmental activities.Present DC Injeti Srinivas is moving to the Union Government as Chairman of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA).
He would be leaving for New Delhi next week, said sources.
In another development, the State Government has ordered G Mathivathanan to be in additional charge of the post of Secretary, Housing and Urban Development. Mathivathanan, a 1994-batch IAS officer, who is presently holding the posts of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Commerce & Transport, Parliamentary Affairs and CMD of IPICOl will assume the post of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, H&UD after Srinivas, ACS H & UD leaves the post.
