The block level task force cum inter-sectoral coordination meeting on anti-malaria month campaign was conducted by the Community Health Centre (CHC) of Sinapali last week to discuss about the steps to be undertaken for fighting malaria in a coordinated manner.

The meeting was attended by all the Anganwadi workers, ASHAs and PRI members of Sinapali block. It was significant because of the high prevalence of malaria in Sinapali block, especially in Nangalbod, Ghatmal, Kuliadunguri and Kendumunda Gram Panchayats, which are considered to be highly malaria endemic with malaria positive rate of more than 25 per cent out of the total blood sample tested.

“There will be a convergence between various Government departments, including different Ashram schools for anti-malaria campaigning.

The meeting also decided to monitor and review the progress of anti-malaria activities at field level through the ASHA,” said Medical Officer in charge Dr Prasant Dash.
