The Jami Adhigrahan Birodhi Abhijan, a forum of several peasants’ organisations, has decided to hold a 15-day-long State-wide stir in protest against the land acquisition Bill of the NDA Government. The agitation would begin from April 25.
It has been decided at a meeting chaired by Abhijan president Prafulla Samantara that protest meeting would be held at Master Canteen square on April 25 to protest the NDA Government’s move to grab farmers’ land through the new Bill.
Samantara said, “The Abhijan will make people aware about the impact of the Bill through leaflets, booklet, poster, public meetings and signature campaigns.” The Abhijan would collect one lakh signature and attend the Jami Adhikar Sangharsh Abhijan stir at New Delhi on May 5.
