Anti-chit fund scam stir to be intensified

The Arthika Sansthamanankadwara Kshatigrastanka Milita Mahcna (ASKMM) on Sunday said it would strongly protest the false promises of the State Government vis-à-vis refund of chit fund money and the ‘improper’ chit fund scam probe.

“Justice MM Das made a statement against the chit fund investors. His secretary, while placing the interim report before the State Government, also made a revelation regarding content of the probe in violation of norms. The commission had never made media advertisements for inviting chit fund investors to file affidavits,” alleged ASKMM convenor Jayanta Das.

He said the Government has been making false promises only to avoid protests by the chit fund investors who have lost lakhs of hard-earned money.

He further alleged said the Government sits silent when some ponzi farmers are still operating in the State. In such a situation, the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary and the DGP should be held responsibly, Das said.

He informed that investors conference would be held in Sambalpur on June 7, In Nayagarh on June 10 and Baleswar on June 17 instead of earlier scheduled dates.
