As part of its fight to amend THE flawed law to ensure that no depositor is cheated in future, the Arthika Sansthamanankadwara Kshatigrastanka Milita Mancha (ASKMM) on Monday said it would hold a mass convention at Baleswar on June 17 involving duped chit fund investors of four districts, Baleswar, Mayurbhanj, Keojhar and Bhadrak.
leader of Opposition in State Assembly Narasingha Mishra, frontal leaders of 19 political parties and various organisations would join the convention to be held at the Gandhi Smruti Bhavan, informed Manch convenor Jayant Das in a statement.
The Manch alleged that the Government, pressurised by mass movements, has only made false promises to refund money to the duped chit fund investors. Besides, it has failed to confiscate properties of four chief fund companies for which court orders have already been passed.
The Manch also reiterated its demand of ouster of chit fund panel head Madan Mohan Das for his alleged statement against the interest of investors.
Stating that many issues would be discussed in detail at the June 17 convention, Das called upon duped chit fund investors of the above four districts to join the meeting in large numbers.
