Efforts, of late, are on at different levels in Mayurbhanj to educate people on the disastrous effects of the Blue Whale game. Special care is being taken by different institutions and social organisations to see that the student community, in particular, is made aware of the new cyber menace.
While the local Kalyani Mahila Samiti organised an enlightening symposium on Thursday here on “The ill effects of the Blue Whale game on the society”, another socio-literary organisation “Parasamani” is going to hold a seminar on the same theme on Monday next. Meanwhile, so many discussions and talks in this regard were held in different schools and colleges in the district, including the Kendriya Vidyalayas and Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandirs.
Participating in these programmes, the teachers and senior citizens advised the students to be very much aware of the issue.
Interactive sessions were also held in different educational institutions, where the teen-agers were effectively persuaded to stay away from the fatal Blue Whale game. The game, in recent days, has been a cause of concern for the parents here, as has been the case in many other parts of the world.
