Another scribe in State manhandled by police

Just a couple days after a journalist of a TV channel was allegedly manhandled by the Kendrapada SP while he was covering the Chief Minister’s visit to the district, a scribe was allegedly manhandled by another cop at Dhanupali of Sambalpur city on Friday. The journalist, also working with a private news channel, was allegedly manhandled by Dhanupali police station Inspector-in-Charge Kamal Panda while covering a protest of parents against the molestation of a girl at the St Joseph’s Convent School.

While a large number of parents and media personnel gathered in front the school gate, Panda allegedly misbehaved with the scribe and forcibly pulled him away.

A team of journalists met the Northern Range DIG and sought action against the errant cop for ‘manhandling’ and ‘misbehaving’ with the reporter.
