The Commissionerate police on Wednesday submitted another chargesheet against inter-State sex racketeer Sunil Meher at the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court here.
The Chandrasekharpur police have named prime accused Meher and ‘pimp’ Somesh Panda in the 85-page chargesheet, which contains statements of 20 witnesses, including that of the rescued Kyrgyz woman.
This is the third chargesheet submitted by the police against Meher. Earlier, the Nayapalli police had submitted two chargesheets against him.
It may be noted that police had on March 23 busted a high-profile sex racket run by Meher from 7th Avenue Apartments under the Chandrasekharpur police station. The police had rescued a Kyrgyz woman and arrested Somesh Panda during the raid.
Meher had been arrested by the Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Commissionerate police from the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on April 21. He is currently lodged in the Jharpada jail here.
