Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare will address a Jai Kishan Mahasamabesh (farmers’ convention), organised by the Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS) at the PMG Square here on Tuesday.
Magsaysay award-winning water conservationist Dr Rajendra Singh Rane and noted Gandhian PV Rajgopal would also address the rally, said NKS coordinator Akshaya Kumar here. Anna will address the farmers at 11 am and hold a Press conference in the evening.
“The convention would call upon political parties and candidates to include agriculture in their election manifestos as a first priority,” said Akshaya Kumar. “If the Government does not heed our demands, the farmers of the State will dethrone it.”
