Purna Chandra Pradhan, Senior Clerk, Sub-Treasury Office, Chhendipada in Angul district, was arrested by Vigilance police on Thursday for accepting bribe of `900.
Pradhan had earlier demanded the bribe from Nikunja Behari Sahu of village Mamuria to submit the provisional pension and unutilised leave bills of his elder brother Prasannachitta Sahu, a retired peon to the bank.
During a trap at the Sub-Treasury Office, as per Pradhan’s direction Sahu kept the bribe money in the working computer table drawer of Pradhan.
