The Vigilance sleuths here on Monday arrested Bahanaga block Anganwadi supervisor Dipanjali Nayak for receiving bribe of Rs 1,000 from an Anganwadi worker to pass a bill. Nayak had demanded the sum of money from Anganbadi worker Manjulata Behera for passing a bill of Rs 25,000 spent towards preparation of food at the latter’s Anganbadi Centre. Behera had requested CDPO of Bahanaga Block to take steps but in vain. Finally she approached the Vigilance. A case was registered and a trap was laid. Nayak was nabbed while accepting bribe money.
