The Amway India organised a workshop on health and wellness for personnel of the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy here recently.
The workshop, part of the company’s wellness campaign on health and lifestyle, was specially designed for police personnel and aimed at educating Odisha police officials about different aspects of nutrition. It covered aspects like optimal nutrition, ideal diet and stress management.
Additional SP and State Police Academy Assistant Director Prabhakar Swain inaugurated the workshop, which was attended by about 400 officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Amway India Senior vice-president, North & East, Gursharan Singh Cheema said, “At Amway, we advocate optimal nutrition philosophy that includes adequate exercise, balanced diet, positive thinking, adequate rest and proper supplementation. We also believe in taking a “whole foods” first approach to one’s diet making sure one is eating a variety of fruits and vegetables. However, it is often difficult to get the nutrients one needs from the diet alone in today’s hectic lifestyle, which is why supplementation can help to fill in any gaps.”
