Brahmapur Vigilance SP Amulya Kumar Das has been transferred and posted as the new Gajapati district SP against the vacancy after the retirement of former Gajapati SP Sushil Kumar Panigrahi.
“There will be no compromise in giving justice to the poor and needy, tribal and backward people and law and order situation would be our foremost priority”, said Das at a Press meet after taking charge.
Das said, “Justice for all, appeasement for none would be my main mantra to work in the district.” A blueprint would be prepared as soon as possible to solve the issues like traffic problem, ganja cultivation in several hilly areas of the district and ganja inter-state transporting, he added.
He also said regular patrolling would be done to make sure no single child and women trafficking in the district take place and to stop various gambling spots to reduce gambling and to nab the drug mafias in the district.
Among others, DSP Goutam Malick, SDPO Utkal Ranjan Das and Paralakhemkundi IIC Babuli Nayak were present.
