Odisha Accountant General (AG) Amar Patnaik was promoted to the rank of Principal Accountant General (PAG) on Saturday. A notification to this effect was issued by the CAG Headquarters in New Delhi. As per the notification, Patnaik will continue to remain in charge of Odisha. During his tenure as AG, Patnaik exposed many high profile irregularities in the State including the Government land allotment. Besides, he also made an audit of the electricity distribution companies, revenue collection during the 2013-14 fiscal and the Odisha Olympic Association land allotment issues.
