The Aluminium Association of India (AAI) is scheduled to organise a national seminar on ‘Aluminium : The Strategic Metal’ in Bhubaneswar at the Mayfair hotel here on Thursday. The seminar is sponsored by aluminium majors Nalco, Vedanta and Hindalco.
Ministry of Mines Secretary Balvinder Kumar would attend the occasion as the chief guest and Odisha Steel & Mines Principal Secretary RK Sharma as the guest of honour.
AAI president and Nalco CMD Dr Tapan Kumar Chand and general secretary Prof KSS Murthy would also address the inaugural session.
The seminar would have participation of institutions and individuals from the aluminium sector from across the country.
At the technical session, papers on ‘Aluminium Outlook’, ‘Aluminium Park and Strategic Business Model for Future’, ‘Possibilities of Synergetic Development of Aluminium & its Products’, ‘Emerging Applications of Aluminium and its Alloys’, ‘Substitution Threat to Aluminium’ and ‘Angul Aluminium Park’ are scheduled to be presented by eminent speakers.
