Buckling under pressure from different quarters, the State Government has decided to scrutinise all housing scheme allotments made by the BDA, the CDA and the OSHB since their inception and take criminal cases against offenders.
Notably, the Government had earlier stated that the allotments made after 1995 would be scrutinised.
Official sources said the GA Department has finalised modalities for execution of the Dr Taradatt-led Taskforce recommendations and decided that the fraudulent plot/house/flat holders would be issued show-cause notices and asked to reply within a stipulated time period before any action.
The Vigilance Department will initiate appropriate action with regard to the multiple allotments and take steps as per the relevant criminal law against the offenders.
