An all-party 24-member House Committee of the State Assembly led by Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha met and greeted President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The committee also handed over to her a thanks resolution passed in the Assembly. Arukhs presented a memento to her.
Murmu promised the delegation that within the ambit of the Constitutional framework, she would help and cooperate in Odisha’s development.
She expressed happiness over the support extended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for her Presidential candidature.
The delegation included Ministers Niranjan Pujari and Pramila Mallick, Government Chief Whip Prasant Muduli, Opposition Chief Whip Mohan Majhi (BJP), Deputy Leader of Opposition Bishnu Sethy and Congress MLAs Santosh Singh Saluja and Tara Prasad Bahinipati.
