State Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro called for an all-party meeting on November 18 ahead of the ensuing Winter Session, which is scheduled to begin on November 20.
The all-party meeting would be held at 11 am on Wedensday, said Patro. “I have convened an all-party meeting for smooth and safe functioning of winter session of the Assembly amidst Covid-19 pandemic,” said Patro on Sunday.
He said opinion would be sought from the members on discussion of starred questions in the House. The newly-elected two MLAs Bijay Shankar Das from Tirtol and and Swarup Kumar Das from Baleswar Sadar will also be sworn-in, he said.The Speaker sad an Adjournment Motion on a particular issue cannot be given for discussion for two days in the House.
As per the schedule, the Supplementary Budget for financial year 2020-21 would be presented on the first day of the session which will continue for 40 working days till December 3.
