The All India Coastal Trek-2018 organised by the NCC Directorate Odisha from Puri to Konark from January 15 to 23 was flagged off by Group Commander Captain Prashant Joshi here.
As many as 500 NCC cadets from the different States are undertaking the trek, which would include trekking through the pristine coastal and forest beauty of Odisha.
The cadets would also visit various cultural and historical sites of the State and spread the message of Swachchh Bharat and environmental protection through the trek.
The trek is being organised by Puri 6 Odisha Battalion NCC, Commanding Officer, SM, lt Col Abhay Singh
and assisted by Administrative Officer lt Col Ravindra
Kumar Patro and 6 Odisha Bn NCC, Puri PI and Civilian staffs.
