The State Government on Tuesday announced to waive annual fees and HSC exam fees for all Class IX and X students of SC and ST categories studying in the Government and Government-aided schools from the coming academic session.
Besides, these students would be provided textbooks and notebooks free of cost, informed an official release. While textbooks would be provided directly by the Government, for notebooks, pens and pencil, each of them would be given Rs300 for an academic year.
In another decision, the Government increased monthly salary of temporary Adivasi linguist Teachers from Rs3,050 to Rs5,200.
Similarly, the monthly salary of cooks and Sevayats engaged in Tribal Residential Schools under the SC and ST Development Department was increased from Rs5,780 to Rs7,480 as per a notification issued by the labour and Employment Department. The increased salaries would be given retrospectively from July 24, 2015.
