With just one day left for the rural polls, no star campaigner from the three major political parties has campaigned in the
Zilla Parishad (ZP) zones in Subarnapur district. But local leaders are working overtime to woo the voters. The leaders have basically concentrated on the 13 ZP zones of the district. The first phase of election would be held in Tarbha block on February 13.Tarbha has a total of 21 GPs and two Zilla Parisad Zones and this area is now occupied by the BJD. There are 30,896 voters in Zone 1 and 28,484 voters in Zone 2 who would decide fate of candidates in fray for ward member, Sarpanch, Samiti member and ZP member posts. All eyes are on Zilla Parisad Zone-2, as BJD district president Saroj Kampa is here locking horn against BJP’s Muchhuram Mendli and Congress’s Raghunath Rana.
