A case has come to the fore where an alcoholic husband slapped his wife to death on December 19 night following a family quarrel at Rajnagar Harijan basti.
Rajnagar police station IIC Sitakantha Kanungo said, 32-year-old Minati Mallick, a mother of three children, was allegedly killed by her husband Satrughan Mallick after an altercation erupted between the duo for a petty matter. Satrughna allegedly in an inebriated condition slapped his wife Minati on her ear. She later fell unconscious.
