Ollywood actor and politician Akash Das Nayak, who turned 33 on Thursday, preferred to celebrate his birthday with orphan kids at the Jeevan Jyoti Ashram here.
The kids were delighted when the actor turned up with gifts galore and spent the entire day dancing and celebrating the day with them. Even the children had organised a special song and dance performance for the audience.
“On every occasion; be it my birthday, Holi, Ganesh Puja or any other festival, I come down to these kids and celebrate with them. Happiness increases when shared,” said Nayak, who also urged everyone to make a little effort to come and visit the kids. “It could mean a world to them if we appreciate what they are doing under such circumstances,” he added.
The event was also attended by Odia TV actors Padarbina Nayak, Partha Sarathi Ray and Akash Das Nayak’s wife Subhrajyoti Hati. Notably, the orphanage houses around 75 children aged between 3 and 16 years.
