High alert was sounded at all security-related establishments in Odisha following a terror attack in Punjab on Saturdaymorning.
This was stated by DG of Police KB Singh to the media. The establishments put on alert included the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar and the defence units in the State. Security arrangements were reinforced at the airport and additional CISF personnel were deployed to guard against any untoward incident.
“We urge the public to be on alert and inform the airport authorities in case they find any suspicious object or movement,” BPIA Director Sharad Kumar informed.
