Members of the Cuttack Unit of the All India Radio Programme Staff Association held a meeting in front of the AIR main gate here for resolution of their various issues on Thursday.
Unit secretary Sujit Kumar Das said the staffs protested against the illogical recruitment of non-professionals at various higher level programme posts by denying due promotion to Programme Officers who have been working for a long period in the Prasar Bharati.
They demanded that they be promoted to the existing senior posts and the illogical appointments be stopped.
The members also held discussions on many other issues relating to their cadre and their future course of action.
