Ollywood actor Tattwa Prakash Satapathy, popularly known as Papu Pompom, who had been admitted to a private hospital here, was flown to New Delhi by an air ambulance for advanced treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) there.
The comedian had been at an ICU of the private medical college hospital here on Friday last for a pancreas-related ailment.
Papu fell sick while shooting for an Odia movie ‘4 Idiots’ in Thailand, following which the shooting was cancelled and he was rushed to Bhubaneswar for treatment.
Notably, Papu had been arrested from Puri on June 30, 2016 after a casting couch allegation was levelled against him by a minor girl’s family. A case was also filed against the actor at the Mahila police station here for sexually harassing the girl on the pretext of giving her a break in Ollywood.
He also spent more than two months behind bars. later, the Orissa High Court granted him bail on August 10, 2016. Moreover, he had unsuccessfully contested from the Champua Assembly constituency on a BJD ticket in 2014.
