All India Chess Federation (AICF) has been appointed vice-president of All Odisha Chess Association (AOCA) and secretary of Cuttack District Chess Association Ranjan Mohanty as the manager of the Indian Chess contingent for the forthcoming Asian Youth Chess Championships for boys and girls to be held at Suwom, South Korea from August 3 to 11.
This prestigious championship is held annualy to assert supremacy in Asian Countries, and a big team of 42 players’ along with two coaches for boys and two coaches for girls team are accompanying under the able administration of Mohanty.
Mohanty represented Odisha civil services chess team in the All India Central Civil Services Chess Championships many times at Patna, Jaipur, Bhopal and many more.
Mohanty has been associated with CDCA for the last 10 years.
