In view of the upcoming gram panchayat elections, the BJP on Sunday held a training camp here for its grassroots-level leaders and workers to approach people in an effective manner.
The saffron party’s State president Basant Panda advised them to go to the general public and inform them about failures of the Naveen Patnaik Government and achievements of the Narendra Modi-led Union Government.
The camp was presided over by party’s State youth wing president Tankadhar Tripathy. State organising secretary Sarada Prasad Satpathy discussed about the organisation aspects of the party and said that success in the panchayat election would not be a big thing for BJP, if the plans and modalities are followed sincerely at grassroots level.
Jharsuguda district president Radharani Panda alleged that the State Government is now cheating public in the name of development while it has failed in every field. She said the party workers should work with dedication to get the desired result in the coming election.
State vice-president Sukesi Oram too addressed the workers. Representatives from the party’s seven organising districts of undivided Sambalpur and Sundargarh districts attended the camp.
Pramod Senapati, Raghtunandan Panda, Er Sunil Panda, Mangal Sahu and Nabin Naik from Jharsuguda attended, among others.
