Shradhanjali Mohapatra (21), wife of Bijaya Mohapatra of Gopalpur village under Kanpur police station, allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday evening.
On information, the police here seized the body, sent it for autopsy and later handed it over to the kin for cremation.
However, when father Gobardhan Panda of deceased Shradhanjali of Singapada village under Khandapara block of Nayagarh district complained dowry torture and murder with the police, Bijaya and his father Kulamani were detained and an inquiry was on.
