Close on the heels of two leopards sighted in villages of Nuapada district, now comes the report of sighting of two leopards between Chandini and Masina villages in the Chandli Reseve Forest under the Lathore Forest Range of Balangir district.
According to reports, a few days ago, while working in the field, villagers saw the two leopards and got panicked.
"While patrolling, we saw the leopards. We believe two leopards which were seen in the Nuapada district a few days have migrated to Lathore forest range area and
are moving in the Chandli Reseve Forest area," said Lathore Forest Range Officer Debadutta Sutar.
“We have cautioned the villagers not to go to forest in view of movement of leopards in the forest,” he added.
