There is no letup in egg hurling on Ministers as Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak faced the wrath of youths in Deogarh district on Tuesday.
The youths carrying Congress party flag lobbed eggs at the Minister's car at Kurada in the district.
The incident took place at around 4 pm when Nayak was on his way to the Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). However, the Minister visited the DHH and also later held a discussion with the local BJD leaders.
On Sunday and Monday, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma was thrown eggs and rotten tomatoes in Puri and Chhatrapur in Ganjam districts, respect tively, over irregularities in preparation of ration cards under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).
Meanwhile, the Students' Congress claimed the responsibility for the egg attack. "Many undeserving Ministers are there in the Naveen Patnaik Government; as a result people of the State are facing problems," said Students' Congress president Itish Nayak.
He said the Ministers, including the Chief Minister would also be treated with eggs and black flags.
