Senior BJP leader lK Advani’s statement on Emergency bears ample credence and has thrown a challenge for all opposition parties who have paid heavy price fighting Emergency in 1975, maintained a Press release issued by Samajwadi Party State president Rabi Behera on behalf of the Janata Parivar.
“It is a challenge for all democracy lover, intellectuals and youths and students who came forward in large numbers 40 years back to defend democratic values in this country,” maintained Behera.
“Now the challenge has became doubled for them as the Modi-led NDA Government is trying to undermine all democratic institutions,” said Behera.
The Parivar also called upon those who courted jail in 1975 for opposing Emergency to be united to oppose the dictatorial and communal Narendra Modi Government.
