The anticipatory bail for beleaguered Banki BJD MlA Pravat Tripathy in connection with the chit fund scam still eluded him on Tuesday as hearing on his application remained inconclusive in the Odisha High Court. Adjourning the hearing to Wednesday, the court, however, extended its interim relief to him till next hearing.
The CBI, which is currently investigating into chit fund scam, has been asked by the High Court not to arrest Tripathy.
Meanwhile, the CBI on Tuesday submitted the voice record report obtained from the Hyderabad-based Central Forensic Science laboratory and the updated case diary of Tripathy in a sealed cover to the High Court. The CBI was in possession of an audio CD containing the purported telephonic exchange between Tripathy and Artha Tatwa Group CMD Pradeep Sethy in which the former had requested the latter to take care of the Banki Mahotsav.
