The State Government on Tuesday directed the Chairman of Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) to begin admission of students in the MBA institutions for the academic year 2020-21.
In a letter, the Skill Development and Technical Education Department Joint Secretary said, “The Government has been pleased to allow the MBA institutions of the State to enrol students in their respective institutions in spot round of counselling process on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying UG exams,” However, first preference would be given to the candidates who have appeared in any of the entrance tests for admission in MBA institutions and qualified irrespective of their marks secured in degree as long as minimum marks as per the OJEE brochure are secured.
“All other clauses for admissions shall remain same. This relaxation to the MBA Institutions shall be applicable for the Academic Year 2020- 21 only and this cannot be taken as a precedent for the future academic years,” the letter read.
