The Northern Division Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) has recommended dismissal of the Additional Tehsildar of Maneswar in Sambalpur district on the charge of getting into Government service by producing fake caste certificate.
The Revenue Department has been asked to dismiss the Additional Tehsildar Bikash Bhoi from service after the State-level scrutiny committee examined all his documents, said RDC Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma.
The committee did not go in favour of his ST certificate after thorough examination and also asked the Balangir Superintendent of Police (SP) to file a criminal case against him as he is a native of Dhandamunda of Balangir.
All Tehsildars have also been asked to investigate whether he or his family members purchased any land from any ST category people.
The RDC took action after getting the report from the scrutiny committee.
A complaint had been lodged before the scrutiny committee that he acquired the caste certificate even though he does not belong to the SC and ST category.
