The Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts, Odisha Circle, organised a Pension Adalat for the pensioners of Department of Telecom and BSNl in the chamber of Controller Prahlad Singh here on March 22. A total of 17 claimed cases were gone through in the Adalat with five pensioners attending it.
All the cases were listed for hearing before the Bench consisting of Controller of Communication Accounts Singh, Senior Communication Accounts Officer B Patnaik, Communication Accounts Officer Arun Kumar and Assistant Communication Accounts Officers Prasanta Kumar Khilar and Sisir Kumar Patnaik.
Senior Accountants Gadadhar Rath and Ananta Kumar Sahoo assisted the Bench in disposing the cases. After hearing individual cases and considering the extant rules, Singh ordered for settlement of three cases within two weeks and directed for settlement of the remaining cases after obtaining the necessary compliances pending in CCA, Kolkata.
The pensioners present on the occasion expressed their sense of satisfaction for the decision taken in the Adalat.
