The State Government on Saturday warned the private hospitals of strong action if they are found denying admission to patients coming from Covid-19 hotspot districts.
In a tweet, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said there are instances of some private hospitals being reluctant to admit patients from hotspot districts. Such act is unethical and illegal, Tripathy observed and said strict action would be taken against the concerned hospitals.
The Chief Secretary advised people to dial 100 to inform the authorities concerned about such practices by private hospitals. “Many queries on who to inform. Please inform by dialing toll-free number 100. They have been directed accordingly,” he tweeted.
