Action against five tabulators, scrutinisers sought

Published on:

Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Chairman Basudev Chhatoi on Friday informed that the council has issued show-cause notices to five persons seeking clarifications from them for negligence in scrutiny and tabulation of Plus II marks.

Chhatoi also informed that the Higher Education Department has also been recommended action against them.

However, he didn't reveal the names of the five employees against whom the show-cause notices were issued.

According to Chhatoi, during the ongoing rechecking and re-addition of faulty evaluated answer sheets, it was found that one Soumya Suvadarshi Behera of a city based college and another Manas Sahoo of Keonjhar have actually secured 88 marks in BMS and 61 in Physics respectively.

Soumya was given six marks in BMS and Manas got 1 in their mark sheets issued earlier, sources said. “The mistake happened due to the negligence of the tabulators and scrutinisers,” said the CHSE Chairman.
