The BJP on Wednesday slammed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for sitting silent when two of his party MlAs, Dr Pramod Mallick and Debasis Samantaray, have been booked on criminal charges and demanded stringent action against them.
“The silence of the Chief Minister, who claims having clean image in politics, over criminal charges leveled against two BJD MlAs has raised many eyebrows. While Debasis Samantaray has links with dreaded Dhalsamant brothers, Niali MlA Promod Mallick has been charged for ransacking Tirtol police station. His callousness in taking action has raised many questions,” alleged BJP State spokesperson Sajjan Sharma in a statement.
He demanded that action be taken against the two MlAs soon.
