The Badagada Police on Monday arrested another person for his alleged involvement in the acid attack on a minor girl in Ganjam district.
The accused was identified as Tophan Sahoo, an aide of prime accused lipun Bisoyi who was arrested on Sunday.
Notably, three miscreants entered the girl’s house at Gangpur village under the Badagada police station on Saturday night while she was sleeping, and after splashing acid on her fled the spot.
The girl, identified as Mamuni Bisoyi (17), has been admitted to the MKCG Medical College Hospital here. Her condition is now stated to be stable.
Though the reason behind the attack is suspected to be fallout of an one-sided love affair. lipun had threatened Mamuni over phone a few days ago, police sources said.
