The Computer Society of India (CSI) conferred the Honourary Fellowship Award on KIIT and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta at a programme held in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Dr Samanta received the prestigious award for his contribution in the education sector. The award was conferred upon Dr Samanta in the presence of Union Communications and Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and Telengana Panchayati Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao.Earlier awardees include Ratan Tata (1993), Prof Yash Pal (1994) and Chandrababu Naidu (1998).
