Inspector of Police Ajit Swain, who was arrested by the Crime Branch police on Wednesday after a long period on the run, on the allegation of sexually harassing a junior woman colleague, also an inspector, for years was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Soro, on Thursday. He was remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
While the Crime Branch had obtained NBW against Swain from this lower court, the High Court had sought status report from the Crime Branch in the case.
