Coming down heavily on the State Government and the BPUT’s failure to conduct the promised mega job fair here, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Friday alleged that both the Government and the BPUT authorities were involved in corruption in the name of job fair.
Taking advantage of students’ aspiration, the BPUT collected Rs100 each from over 40,000 students promising them to hold a mega job fair in 2014. While no company came to participate in the fair, the Government didn’t take further steps also. It indicates that the Government and the BPUT had knowingly collected funds having any concerns for students’ future. All the students have lost valuate two years of their life and their future is at stake now, alleged ABVP Technical Student Cell State assistant coordinator Arpannesh Mantri.
Though the Government is making tall claims of making the State industrially developed, yet it has failed to give job to single engineer student.
“BPUT Vice-Chancellor Prof Shyam Sundar Pattnaik is only exaggerating his own performance. He should remember that he completely failed to provide employment to a single student,” Mantri alleged further. Notably, the Government has recently announced to return the entry fee taken from the students for the job fair.
