The ABVP State unit has filed an FIR against JNU Students’ Union president Kanhaiya Kumar and JNU Professor Nivedita Menon for giving defamatory speeches.
ABVP State secretary Avilash Panda alleged, “Kanhaiya while addressing the JNU crowd on the Women’s Day said that in Kashmir women are detained and raped by Indian Army personnel.”
The defamatory words not only amount to tarnish the reputation of the Indian Army but also hurt the feeling of each Indian, whose lives are saved by those brave hearts in Kashmir and other parts of the country, the ABVP leader added.
Besides, on the same day, Prof Menon being aware of the ongoing situation between India and Pakistan and India and China said without any basis, “India has forcibly occupied Manipur and Kashmir.” This statement made by her aims to create hatred among the people and provoke disloyalty towards the State and the Government, said the ABVP leader, who demanded that appropriate legal action be taken to punish the traitors for their defamatory utterances.
