The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) held its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting here at the SOA university premises on Wednesday. Inaugurating the meet, ABVP national general secretary Shrihari Borikar informed about the 61stnational convention’s agenda. The topics on environmental pollution in India, new education policy, development of North-East students and youths’ role in tackling terrorism would be discussed in the four-day convention, he added.
The convention would have also discussions on employment generation, women protection, youth politics and Naxlism in Odisha, said ABVP national secretary Ashish Chauhan. ABVP national president Prof Nagesh Thakur spoke about the ABVP’s activities in all over the country. ABVP national organising secretary Sunil Ambekar was also present.
Around 340 NEC delegates attended the meeting. The convention would start from Thursday.
